Oakhurst’s EC Rider Level Education sessions
If you are interested in pursuing the Equestrian Canada Rider levels or if you are an equestrian interested in increasing your horsemanship education, this clinic series is for you!
- January 14th -Understanding the Horse – equine vision, vices, handling, grooming, descriptions, teeth & aging
- January 28th – Horse Health, Body Condition, Vaccinations, Deworming, First Aid, Unsoundness’s, Blemishes
- February 11th – Bandaging – stable, shipping, tail, figure 8, spider (first aid)
- February 25th – Lunging – presentation of handler & horse, safety, technique
- March 11th – Feeds & Feeding – the digestive system, nutrients, vitamins, minerals, hay, grains, rules
- March 25th – The foot & Shoeing – the structures, care and shoeing
- April 8th – The Equine environment – stable & pasture construction, ventilation, fencing, flooring, beddingEducation sessions will take place from 1:00pm – 3:00pmCost is $35 +hst per sessionPlease sign up by email no later than the Friday before the session: ruth@oakhurstfarm.com
